With over 20 years experience in optical design and a background in optical dispensing, my understanding of balance, proportion, fit and facial features ensures that everything I design is not just uniquely beautiful, but also totally wearable. My aim is to provide you with the best of both worlds: strong brand identity and enhanced sell-through.
Over the course of my career I have designed, project managed and produced over 40 individual eyewear collections for every sector of the optical market, from mainstream branded collections for international retailers, to limited-edition couture collections for exclusive boutiques and independent brands. I estimate that my designs have sold in excess of 3 million pieces globally.
MY SERVICES INCLUDE:
Developing new concepts and original designs based on a brands identity and brief.
Specifically defining a collection's identity, its signature detailing, key shapes & materials, and identifying the design & colour direction.
Extensive research into raw materials & suppliers: acetates, specific or unique components, metal plating, special treatments (laser etching / acetate layering / print transfer / etc.) and lens options (where appropriate).
Translating all of the above into a fully defined collection of 'production-ready' 2D technical drawings.
Establishing development & manufacturing schedules, locking down cost targets.
Working with established eyewear brands who want to refresh & renew their existing ranges.
Working closely with a brand’s buying and design teams to build ranges based on price, design and trend.
Supply chain & logistics management, and assisting with stock level and product life-cycle management.
Providing campaign, video and product shoots for marketing and e-commerce, branding and graphic design services, comprehensive PR & strategic marketing assistance and extensive POP design and manufacturing.
